Dr. Emma: While I was doing some cleaning this weekend, I found an engagement ring in my boyfriend's sock drawer. I was completely taken by surprise! We haven’t been talking about marriage at all. Now, the more I think about it, I'm not sure I really even want to marry him! Am I just getting cold feet, or does my hesitation mean he's not the one for me?

Dr. Emma: I've been married and divorced 3 times. I'm a 54-year-old woman and I'm just wondering if there's any hope for me ever finding a decent man? Or is it three strikes and I'm out? Game over?

Trudy, instead of thinking "game over," how about changing the game? You just need a new set of rules:
- Love Is Earned, Not Yearned.
- Trust, Not Lust.
- And most importantly: Get Real.

Dr. Emma: I've been happily married for seven years. My husband is loyal, supportive, and responsible. He's also the opposite of exciting. Increasingly I find myself drawn to a younger man I work with who has made it obvious that he's interested. I'm not looking to end my marriage, but I must admit I think that a little fling might be just what I need right now. Should I risk it?

I met with my wedding planner yesterday, and she told me about a young couple she was working with. The bride-to-be is an up-and-coming journalist, and her fiance is an aspiring director. In her mind, I'm sure he's the next Steven Spielberg.
